ANOTHER Major overhaul.

So.... this website got ANOTHER huge redesign. (last one for a while I promise haha.) The decision to do so was made out of a realization that I had one major critical flaw in the way I designed my sites, and that is the ease of maintaining it.

What Do I mean by maintaining it you may ask? Well what I mean by this is the fact that if I wanted to add a new blog post or a new art post I would have to manually go into the HTML and add the entries myself. Which in on of itself doesn't sound that bad but my god does it wear down on your soul over time.

So. The solution to that problem was introducing a Static site generator, or SSG for short. (I use Eleventy.) What this does let me create templates that will let me very easily create new pages. It also lets me easily add blog posts and art posts and with the critical benefit of allowing me to format the posts in markdown. this lets me very quickly and very easily format posts without having to mess with any HTML tags! Yay!

But I also felt the urge to give the site another redesign. Don't get me wrong I love version 2.0 of the site and I was proud of myself for making it. But I feel like I could do better and in my opinion I did a fairly decent job, although in a very grayscale manner. Yes, the site is in grayscale and yes I like it very much. A regression version 3.0 of this site has though is that there is no theme. I am planning on re implementing this in a way that's even better than the way it was implemented before. You'll see what i mean soon. So now onto the section of:

Whats New?

• The RSS feed is also fully automated. If I'm being honest with myself I don't use RSS that often even though I do want to and that's because I haven't found an RSS reader I fully like yet. But alas the RSS feed is here and even with an extra one! The updates RSS feed will provide you useful reminders of when the site has been updated. If you look at the history of updates they are very iterative such as "began work on website." I do not plan on doing logs like that in the future and will only reserve it for when the site actually has a meaningful update.

• Posts also have a new category feature. This will hopefully make it easier to find a specific genre of post your trying to find out of me once I have added more to this site.

• There is also a new comment section for all of my posts! This is very useful to me as it lets me view people's opinion on a piece of art or a blog posted I have created. However, if this feature is abused I will not be afraid to remove it entirely. Be warned.

And now onto the other section of:

Whats next?

• I plan to add a review section to this site. This section will let me write my opinions on various media such as my opinion on games like Splatoon Raiders and Movies like The new Madoka Magica movie I've been waiting over 5 years for.

• I also plan on adding proper themes again. except this time it will be more than just a recolor. I'll leave it at that for now.

• Additionally, I want to add more fun interactive stuff to the site. This is a more vague plan but I felt like it was worth noting as I feel like I could make the site more interesting beyond my posts.
